Upcoming | Christmas in NYC

So, some VERY exciting news— In just about two weeks, I will be on my way to visit Steve in NYC, AT CHRISTMASTIME!

This will be my third trip to the city since she moved there in 2008, but my first visit during the holidays and to say I'm excited is a massive understatement. Although I have to admit, the Southerner in me is a little bit nervous about being there in winter. My last two trips were in July and May, respectively, so I hope I'm not in for too much of a shock. Y'all, pray for this thin-blooded soul of mine.

This will also be my longest visit so far, five nights and a whopping four whole days, and while I am usually a pretty laid-back [ahem, lazy] traveler, I have been going a little nuts this time planning all the things I want to see and do. There are spreadsheets and Google Maps with dozens of pins involved, people. Seriously. Our evenings are pretty much all booked with the NYC Ballet Nutcracker and holiday choral concerts [Steve sings in a local choir and I can't wait to finally see/hear them perform!], but the days are a little more open that I hope to spend checking out a few museums, bookstores, and of course, ALLLLLL the holiday decorations and attractions.

Of course, if you have some must-see/must-do and especially, must-eat ideas for me, I would LOVE to hear about them! And you know I'll likely be over-gramming and over-tweeting our adventures, so feel free to follow me over on Instagram and Twitter to keep up with the shenanigans.

And now, I'm off to freak out about all the million things I have to do before I leave, like, getting all my Christmas shopping/wrapping/decorating done. Crap.

xo, Steve
