I've made it no secret around here that I love books. Not only do I love reading and collecting books, but I also love to display them and use them for decorating throughout our home. With all the rearranging, redecorating, and reorganizing I've been doing lately, I've been looking for a few new art and decor books to fill in a couple empty spaces around here.
1. Alexander McQueen : Savage Beauty // 2. American Dance : Complete Illustrated History
3. Cabin Porn : Inspiration for Your Quiet Place Somewhere // 4. Wes Anderson Collection : The Grand Budapest Hotel // 5. Styled: Secrets for Arranging Rooms, from Tabletops to Bookshelves
6. Remodelista // 7. Quiet City Series [Amsterdam, London, New York, & Paris] // 8. Succulents : An Illustrated Guide // 8. Lonely Planet Ultimate Travel : Our List of the 500 Best Places to See... Ranked
As you can see, when I say, "Art and Decor Books", I don't specifically mean just books on art and/or home decor. That's just my catchall term for any book that I can use as art and/or decor, in addition to reading. Which in reality, could be any book, but today I'm just talking about non-fiction books with lots of photos in a variety of subjects that interest me. Or, as some people call them, "coffee table books". As much as I love these books, I seldom purchase them for myself. For some reason, I find it difficult to justify spending $30-$50 on a single book when, as much as I may want it, my brain says, "but look at allllll these other books you can get for the same amount of money!" So they usually just get added to my wish list in hopes of being gifted from friends and family. After quite some time of doing this though, my wish list has grown ridiculously long, so I've decided to get to work on finally getting some of these books off the list and into my hands. Thankfully, I have a bit of money left on a gift card and many of these can be found at a discounted price by buying used, so I'm hoping to get as much "bang for my buck" as I can.
I haven't 100% decided that these are the books I will be adding to my collection, but these are a few that seem to catch my attention the most when scanning my lists. See any that strike your interest?
I hope the rest of your week is wonderful! Can you believe it's the end of February already?! WOO-HOO! Thanks for reading :)
